Who this works for, and who it does not

This works if

  • Your work is calls, writing and a laptop
  • You want the same desk for a few weeks rather than a few days
  • A weak mobile signal is acceptable, or welcome
  • You would rather eat on site than find somewhere each evening
  • You can work daytime hours in IST

If the honest answer is that the connection will not carry what you do, you will be told that before you book rather than after you arrive.

This does not work if

Every villa has a desk and a chair, facing the valley rather than a wall. Power points within reach of the desk, and a reading light. Not a dining table you clear away each evening, and not a bed you work from.

How fast is the Wi Fi, really?

We measure it rather than quote it, including at full occupancy, which is when it matters. Ask what we have tested and on which platforms and you will get the actual figure with the date it was taken. If your work needs more than we can carry, we will tell you that before you book rather than after you arrive.

Is there mobile network?

Weak across the property. Wi Fi calling works over the connection. We are not going to sell you a signal that is not there.

What happens if the power goes?

Ask what the backup covers and what it does not before you commit a month to it. You will get the honest version rather than the reassuring one.

Is there a desk in the room?

Every villa has a desk and a chair. Tell us which type you are considering and we will describe the one in it before you book.

What are the long stay rates?

From Rs.[X] a night on 7 nights or more and from Rs.[X] on 30 nights, breakfast included. Full board can be added at Rs.[X] a day.

Can I stay a month?

Yes. Long stay rates begin at seven nights and improve again at fourteen and twenty eight. Tell us how long and we will quote it.

Is there a coworking space or a business centre?

There is a conference room, and it is available when it is not booked. Ask when you enquire and we will tell you how it looks for your dates.

What about laundry and housekeeping on a long stay?

Housekeeping runs throughout, and laundry is included on the longer tiers. The exact schedule comes with your quote.

Are pets allowed on a long stay?

Yes.

What is the weather like across the year?

Cool the year round, and wet through the monsoon. You are picking a month rather than a weekend, so tell us which one and we will tell you what it is actually like then, mist included.

Can I cancel or shorten my stay?

Sent in writing before you commit. A month is a long booking to make on a verbal answer, so ask and you will get it on paper.
